W-CARE Hub
Women's Climate Action, Recovery and Empowerment Hub
The flagship program of Learning And Life Aid Foundation (LALAF) — a women-centered, climate-responsive platform for the Niger Delta.
Overview
The W-CARE Hub is the flagship program of Learning And Life Aid Foundation (LALAF). It is a women-centered, climate-responsive platform designed to strengthen resilience, restore livelihoods, and expand economic opportunities in vulnerable communities — beginning in the Niger Delta.
W-CARE integrates community-based implementation with international development standards. It reflects our commitment to practical local action and global collaboration.
Why W-CARE Matters
Communities in the Niger Delta experience recurring environmental challenges, including seasonal flooding, displacement, and agricultural disruption. These realities are influenced by climate variability and regional water management systems such as the Lagdo Dam.
Women and children are often disproportionately affected during these events, yet women remain central to household stability, food systems, and local economies.
W-CARE was created to address climate vulnerability and women empowerment within one structured, long-term framework.
